Chris began his ministry at Westminster in 2008. A child of the church, he grew up in Black Mountain, NC, and at the Montreat Conference Center. He received his undergraduate education at Davidson College, and both his M.Div and D.Min. from Columbia Theological Seminary.
Chris is passionate about how the church bears witness in the world, serving on the city of Durham’s Homeless Services Advisory Committee, the Allocations Committee of Durham’s Partnership for Children, and the North Carolina Council of Churches board. Chris is married to the Rev. Carrie Rhoads Tuttle, who is the Parish Associate at First Presbyterian Church in Burlington. They have three children – Ella Brooks, Heath, and Wilson.
Chris’s leadership focuses on worship and preaching, leadership development, mission in the community, and coordinating the work of the Session and our talented staff team so that we might “do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God” in southwest Durham.
