In addition to our many worship, education, and mission events and opportunities to serve, Westminster also organizes special fellowship events to help church members connect with and get to know others in the Westminster family. Annual fellowship events include a churchwide retreat in the fall and women’s retreat in the spring, monthly Men’s fellowship gatherings, monthly men’s fellowship meet-ups, Durham Bulls’ nights, museum outings, fellowship meals, and more. Lunch Groups & Supper Clubs
Westminster has a few groups that gather on a regular basis for lunch. Oldies But Goodies, a group for retirees, tries out different restaurants in the area on the fourth Friday of the month. Lunch Bunch is a group of women that meets monthly, usually on the first Monday, in a local restaurant. Anyone is welcome to join! The Grief Group Gathering (GGG) meets for lunch on the second Tuesday of the month and offers an informal time to talk and share with others who are grieving the loss of a spouse. Contact the church office to learn more or get connected to any of these lunch groups.
Supper clubs meet on Friday or Saturday nights in the homes of members or at local restaurants and is another great way to get to know church members. To join a supper club or to start a new one, contact the church office.
