Bringing the Generations Together with Grand Friends!
Grand Friends is a wonderful new ministry at Westminster that connects younger and older folks, helping them get to know one another and learn from each other through seasonal gatherings, usually here at WPC. Grand Friends enjoy learning from one another as they engage in scripture and creative activities.
Who Can Be a Grand Friend? Younger Friends should be in Kindergarten through Middle School. Older Friends are 55 years and older. If you were matched with a Grand Friend in our GiFT last May, you can request that Friend when you register. Whenever possible, Grand Friends will stay partnered for the entire year.
When Will Grand Friends Meet? We hope to meet seasonally, 4 to 5 times per year. It’s okay if you can’t make all the dates, though you may want to let your Grand Friend know. Grand Friends are welcome to meet at times other than those organized by WPC. 2024 dates are:
- November 10, 9:45 – 10:45am with hot drinks & snacks
- February 9, 12:15 – 1:30pm with lunch
- April 27, 9:45 – 10:45am with brunch served by WPC youth
