MLK Day is fast approaching, and Westminster is planning a meaningful morning of service! Due to unpredictable weather and difficult logistics with off-campus sites, most projects will occur inside the Fellowship Hall this year. As we have in past years, we will invite our friends at the Divan Center to join us. Here are the projects we will have:
- Write notes or make valentines for local nursing facility residents and incarcerated individuals
- Plant flower bulbs on the church grounds
- Assemble Winter Essentials Bags for Housing for New Hope
- Assemble Clean-Up Buckets for Western NC
Donations are needed for some of the project materials. Can you help? Please bring donations to the green bin in the Mission Center lobby.
- Reusable shopping bags
- Warm hats, scarves, and gloves
- Clean 5-gallon buckets with resealable lids that have never contained toxic material, including pesticide
- Cotton (not terrycloth) cleaning cloths for the cleanup buckets
